Call For Participation Winter 2005 SRCCS Workshop Workshop on Internet Measurement, Modeling, and Analysis January 9-12, 2005 Seoul, Korea Organizers: Jongwoo Jeon(Chair), Youjip Won, Don Towsley, and Walter Willinger The Statistical Research Center for Complex System(SRCCS) is a research center funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Korea. SRCCS was established in 1999 by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation as a result of a national competition. The primary mission of SRCCS is to develop new probabilistic and statistical modeling techniques for analyzing complex systems such as financial markets and communication network and for dealing with high-dimensional and complicated data sets. Aligned with this objective, SRCCS will host a workshop on Internet Modeling, Measurement and Analysis. The workshop is organized by Youjip Won (Hanyang University, Korea), Don Towsley (U. of Massachusetts, USA) and Walter Willinger (AT&T Labs-Research, USA) and will consist of one day of tutorials and a three day workshop. The workshop will provide an international forum, where researchers from academia and industry and government officials interested in Internet modeling, measurement, and analysis will present and discuss the latest developments in Internet modeling/measurement/analysis technologies. Topics that will be covered during this workshop include - Internet economics - traffic measurements and Internet usage - trajectory sampling for direct traffic observation - active traffic measurements - clock synchronization in end-to-end delay measurements - Internet routing and routing protocols - Internet tomography - structural analysis of network traffic flows - interaction of traffic flows in large TCP networks - Internet performance modeling The followings are the list of speakers: - Director of BcN Division, Ministry of Inf. & Comm, Korea - Jinyoun Youn, (Korea Telecom, Korea) - Kenjiro Cho (Internet Initiative Japan Inc., Japan) - Andrew Odlyzko (University of Minnesota, USA) - Sue Moon (KAIST, Korea) - Mark Crovella (Boston University, USA) - Tim Griffin (Intel Research Lab, Cambridge, UK) - Matthias Grossglauser (EPFL, Switzerland) - Matt Roughan (University of Adelaide, Australia) - Bin Yu (University of California at Berkeley, USA) - Soohan Ahn (City University of Seoul, Korea) - C.S. Chang (National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan) - Francois Baccelli (INRIA and ENS, Prance) To register for or obtain more information about the workshop and tutorials, please visit the workshop home page at http://srccs.snu.ac.kr/Workshop/05/frame1.htm .
