Chair of Statistics - Ref:1129274 Department of Statistical Science University College London Salary (inclusive of London allowance) Salary is negotiable within the professorial range but will not be less than £61,713 per annum. Duties and Responsibilities The Department is currently undergoing a programme of expansion. As part of this expansion the Department invites applications for a Chair of Statistics from candidates with an outstanding research record of international excellence. The person will be expected to provide research leadership as well as to contribute to the Department's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. The appointee will have an opportunity to provide input into the recruitment of two new lecturers. More experienced candidates may be considered for the future Headship of the Department. Key Requirements The successful candidate will have an internationally recognised track record of research and will be able to contribute to the strong research profile of the Department. He/she is expected to have a continuing track record of external research grant funding and doctoral research supervision, experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Applications from candidates with interests in medical research or biostatistics are particularly welcome, although applications will be considered from candidates in any area of statistical science.
