서울대학교 박병욱 교수가 2011년 IMS (Institute Mathematical Statistics)의 Council 후보로 추천되었습니다. IMS 회원께서는 이미 지난 4월에 IMS로부터 IMS President-Elect and Council Election 에 대한 안내 메일을 받으셨을 줄 압니다.
이번 선거에서는 IMS 차기회장과 5명의 Council members를 선출합니다. 박병욱 교수는 10명의 후보자 중 한명으로 올초에 IMS nomination committee 에서 추천되었습니다.

*IMS Council Elections*

Voting is now open for the 2011 IMS elections. The candidate for President-Elect is Hans R. Kuensch.
The ten Council candidates (for five places on Council) are Mathias Drton, Sandrine Dudoit, Steve
Evans, James Allen (Jim) Fill, Paul Gustafson, Byeong U. Park, Sonia Petrone, Christian P. Robert,
Remco van der Hofstad, and Qiwei Yao. Read all about the candidates, and vote online, at http://imstat.org/elections. Voting is open until June 18.
