The Department of Statistics in the College of Natural Sciences at Keimyung University invites qualified applications for a two-year tenure track full-time position in all Statistics, Probability, or Related fields (Big data, Network, AI). The position is open to non-Korean citizens. The position is for a fixed contractual term, but renewable at the discretion of the Department and University.
Keimyung University is located in Daegu, one of the largest cities in South Korea. The University was founded in 1954, and has a beautiful and safe campus. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for teaching 9 hours per week (in English) as well as administrative duties, as assigned. Research and publication is encouraged. Tentatively assigned courses are:
Undergraduate courses: Advanced mathematical statistics I, II, Topics in statistics, Biostatistics, Statistical Software.
Graduate courses: Lectures will be open depending on the graduate student requirements.
However, they are subject to change by request of the department and students.
Salary and Contract period:
Salary is USD 50,000 (Negotiable - Commensurate with qualifications)
Housing and airfare (one time, round-trip, economy class) will be provided as well (Max USD 2500)

Candidates should have a doctorate degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Related Fields. A successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and an ability to collaborate with department and university faculty members.
